We are so honored to welcome His Eminence Jhado Rinpoche to bless our Stupa, the first in Transylvania, and our Retreat Center “Dekyi Ling” in Tranișu, Cluj.

This blessing takes place the day before Jhado Rinpoche’s main teaching when His Eminence will offer the Subsequent Permission of Tara of the Four Deities of Kadam in Cluj-Napoca, as part of His 2026 Europe tour, organised by FPMT European Coordination.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

H.E. Khensur Jhado Tulku Rinpoche was born in 1954 north of Lhasa, Tibet. He took novice vows with H.H. the Dalai Lama in 1964 and received full ordination from Ling Rinpoche in 1973. Between 1972 and 1990, he studied at Sera Je Monastery and obtained the Geshe Lharampa degree in 1991. From 1992 to 1996, he taught at Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, and later served as its abbot from 1997 to 2004.
Jhado Rinpoche is one of the most respected lamas of the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. In addition to his excellent monastic education, he received numerous oral transmissions and empowerments from H.H. the Dalai Lama, his two tutors, and great masters of other traditions, such as Trulshik Rinpoche. Jhado Rinpoche is renowned for his profound scholarship, his dynamic teaching style, and his ability to connect personally with Western students.
