Geshe Norbu will give a talk on what it means to connect with an authentic Tibetan master, and how taking refuge & bodhisattva vows and receiving the blessings of an initiation can transform the mind. He will also explain what this connection looks like in daily life and how to make the most of it.
The talk is open to everyone, and will be of particular interest to those planning to attend, or considering attending the jenang with His Eminence Jhado Rinpoche in November.
Jhado Rinpoche is a Geshe Lharampa and one of the most respected lamas of the Gelug tradition. He took novice vows with His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1964, received many transmissions and empowerments from Him, and later served as abbot of Namgyal Monastery, His Holiness’s own monastery. We are honored that Rinpoche will visit Romania for the very first time, as part of his 2026 Europe tour organized by FPMT European Coordination. On November 18, 2026, he will offer teachings and the Subsequent Permission (jenang) of Tara of the Four Deities of Kadam, during which he will also give refuge and the bodhisattva vows. Geshe Norbu will serve as Rinpoche’s translator during his visit to Romania, from Tibetan to English.
Whether you are curious about Tibetan Buddhism, thinking about attending, or already planning to come, you are welcome. Bring your questions!
