In our 11th module of the “Approaching Buddhism” series – “Transforming Problems”, we will be introduced by Ven. Tenzin Gendun to practices for refining and purifying our motivations and attitudes.
Together we will discover the disadvantages of selfishness and the advantages of cherishing others. Learn to employ the special techniques of mind training (lojong) to transform problems into happiness.
Lojong helps us shift our habitual behaviors to be more open and loving, and ultimately bring us toward awakening.
Unlike in previous modules, the theoretical and practical parts will be shared in this one session, thanks to the physical presence of Venerable Gendun at our City Center.
These events are meant as an essential steppingstone for anyone who wants to develop their Buddhist spirituality more deeply, and will prepare the participants for the official FPMT course “Discovering Buddhism”.
