While journeying on each of our personal paths, it is often a challenge to frame our views and values in coherent and easy to understand ways. These events will offer you a warm, inclusive space, to explore the way in which Buddhist philosophy is framed, at its most basic level.

In Buddhism, the Four Noble Truths serve as the Buddha’s clearest statement of the human condition. They are, in turn:
First Noble Truth — There is suffering
Second Noble Truth — suffering has a cause: craving rooted in ignorance
Third Noble Truth — The cessation of suffering is possible
Fourth Noble Truth — There is a path that leads to the end of suffering

In our first meeting, we will be guided by venerable Dechen in learning about the First and Second Noble Truths.

🌟 The First Noble Truth helps us approach the idea of suffering, and how we can wholeheartedly open our hearts to accepting the reality of unsatisfactoriness.
🌟 The Second Noble Truth of this reality of suffering having being brought about by Causes and Conditions will help us not limit ourselves to acceptance but also develop deep and lasting understanding.
