How to keep up the Joy

Vezi pe Facebook

In Buddhism, joyous effort means delighting in virtue—finding energy and inspiration in the actions that lead to genuine happiness.

Drawing on classical teachings and practical examples, we’ll explore why merit is the essential “fuel in the tank” for both worldly success and ultimate awakening, and how it can be created, strengthened, and sustained.

We’ll also address the common obstacles to joyous effort, from distraction to discouragement, and discover practical ways to transform daily activities, challenges, and even difficulties into causes for lasting happiness.

The aim is to leave with a clearer understanding of how to energise your practice, make it joyful, and integrate it seamlessly into daily life.

✨ What you’ll learn:

Understand the Buddhist definition of virtue and its direct link to happiness

Learn how merit is created, strengthened, and protected—and why we must continually replenish it

Identify the three forms of laziness and how to overcome them

Discover ways to integrate practice into every aspect of life

Gain practical tools—rejoicing, generosity, gratitude—for increasing positive potential

Cultivate an enthusiastic, joyful approach to virtue that lasts
